SUZIE

What can you say about a dog like Suzie? She is a simple dog who loves two things, the sound of her own name and food. Now 10 years old, she was 8 when we got her. Maxx had been an 'only dog' for more than a year and needed a friend and Suzie seemed to be a mellow, laid-back older dog. Wrong! Suzie refuses to act her age and runs faster and has more energy than some dogs half her age.

 

Sadly, Suzie passed away early one morning, April 9, 2004. She was approx. 11 years old. She had a 3rd degree heart murmur since we brought her home 2 1/2 years ago and recently her heart became enlarged and she would collapse if overexerted. After several weeks of medication, she failed and died at home. She loved her tennis ball and car rides and the sound of her name and will be missed, especially by Maxx and Grace.
